It's been hot hot hot hot! Hot for heathot jobs and all things artificial intelligence[latest Google search news]. Welcome to August, where #GenerativeAI [defined] is still moving like an uncontrolled wildfire in a desert, tearing new holes in every single job known to (wo)man. It's also becoming more and more challenging to know where to start in AI, or if you even should. How to keep up? Maybe we should all just chock it all up and build a new tiny home off the grid! But if you want to go somewhere with AI, start here

Even though as I wrote two months ago, we are being inundated with strategies on how to get rich quickboost your productivityand what to learn first related to artificial intelligence, I do sense a ripple in the tide of acceleration. People seem to be taking a breath, slowing down, and making more mindful decisions about which AI they want to pay attention to. Some of us (like me!) are also getting more confident with using tools like Google Bard as a daily creative collaboration partner. In fact, this past March, Google announced Gemini, a direct hit against the most popular LLM, OpenAI's ChatGPT. There's even a new video out now comparing the two, and Gemini looks like it's moving beyond ChatGPT capabilities. We shall see if Google can recapture the attention of users like me who are now sitting pretty comfy, drinking a glass of chilled summer rose hanging out with GPT.

[Podcast News] For a change, I was invited to appear on two shows produced by two other smart and interesting Black career women: Michelle Lawrence, creator of Black Tea, published by Muse by Clio and my Google Digital Coaches guest speaker, Nicole Lashae Ben, host of Thrive in Design. On Black Tea, I describe the importance of self-determination through ownership and entrepreneurship and then I jump to Thrive in Design with a discussion and tips how to get creative with generative AI tools.

[Google Digital Coaches News] Speaking of Google Digital Coaches, today, August 1, 2023, after almost ten consecutive years as one of the founding builders of the Google Digital Coaches program, and the lead external business community coach in Illinois for Google, I am bidding adieu and passing the baton back to the national team to help them onboard a new and fresh local digital marketing leader in Illinois, to be announced soon! The new Illinois leader will continue our program's remarkable legacy of providing outstanding digital marketing assistance to underrepresented business owners while also helping them discover a valid and like-minded small business community backed by the brightest and most positive-thinking technology brand in the world: Google. Thank you to the small business community in Illinois for leaning in with me (since 2014!) to Google with grace and greatness, and helping the program establish across the nation to become the greatest private-public community partnership ever created.

I like the STEM fields. But I love astronauts even more! Join me for the final installment of my original LinkedIn Audio Event series “Creating Equity In STEM.” Designed and produced for my client CPASS Foundation, I am hosting a live conversation withMr. Douglas Terrier, Associate Director for Vision and Strategy from NASA's Johnson Space Center on August 8 at 11 am CST, to learn about his journey to NASA. Dr. Terrier will also share ideas on how we can create more inclusive learning pipelines for young Black and brown STEMM scholars. Sign in to your LinkedIn account and register now. Would you like to begin hosting your own company hosted LinkedIn Audio chats? Fill out this inquiry form here. Also, big news! CPASS Foundation has once again placed their trust in my company Birk Creative for the filth year in a row to assist them in growing their brand, finding new audiences and launching new initiatives. I am looking forward to what's in store for CPASS in 2023-24. Thank you CPASS Foundation for your continued patronage.

My top picks for AI tools for August: Here are more fresh artificial intelligence tools that can transform how you can make movies, prompt, make post content, order inexpensive AI prints, write a book and create custom voices in multiple languages.

Drop me a dm to share what you learned and what you are going to do next with AI! If you created something really cool, post it up to YouTube Shorts and share the link on LinkedIn. Remember to tag me.

“Trust Black Women.” is my new typography only t-shirt, and I would love if you would purchase one here. I didn't even mark these up. I'm just trying to send a message to the world. Because it's time.

Every year, I sent holiday gifts to my best clients. Believe it or not, we are four months away from the holiday season. It's not too early to start thinking about what to do for your besties. Check out this company for interesting gift box options for that year end thank you. [Affiliate link.]

Follow me on LinkedIn and leave a comment on one of my posts. Or text me here with comments, questions or when you want a creative strategy partner. You asked, so I created a few new digital packages for entrepreneurs and small business owners available on my website.

Oh! I almost forgot, I helped Ross Mac establish his own book publishing company, and then designed, art directed and produced his first published book “The Wealth Connect: Your Pathway to Financial Freedom" that launched at his inaugural Wealth Summit in Chicago. So, what are YOU waiting for? When are you going to publish that book?
