CHICAGO, IL — Birk Creative, a premier brand strategy and visual identity firm, is proud to announce its 2026 annual donation to the Power 2 Inspire (P2I) Foundation. This contribution continues Birk Creative’s tradition of supporting organizations that equip creators with the business acumen and strategic mentorship required to achieve true creative and financial independence.
Founded by legendary Music Director Ray Chew and music executive Vivian Scott Chew, the U.S.-based Power 2 Inspire Foundation identifies and nurtures gifted musicians and aspiring industry leaders. Through masterclasses and intensive mentorship, P2I provides the roadmap for young talent to navigate the complexities of the entertainment industry.
A Shared Legacy of Self-Determination
The decision to support P2I is deeply personal for Birk Creative CEO JinJa Birkenbeuel. Long before founding her agency, JinJa established her own band, Utah Carol, which she managed as a rigorous business enterprise. In the 1990s—an era when industry "gatekeepers" held all the keys—JinJa conducted independent research to master the mechanics of the music business.
She successfully established her own publishing company, secured 100% ownership of her intellectual property, and built a system for licensing and royalty collection. This foundation of self-determination and creative ownership became the blueprint for Birk Creative’s business philosophy.
"I learned early on that talent isn't enough; you must own your rights and understand the business of your art to be truly free," says Birkenbeuel. "Ray and Vivian Chew are doing the critical work of teaching young artists how to protect their creative rights and build sustainable careers.
